The much-anticipated new Netflix crime mystery series, The Åre Murders (Åremorden), premiered on Netflix February 6. The series is based on the successful books Hidden Snow and Hidden in the Shadows by Swedish bestselling author Viveca Sten.

The Åre Murders explores themes of resilience, trust, and human vulnerability as suspended police officer Hanna Ahlander finds herself drawn into a chilling missing-person case while staying at her sister’s vacation home in Åre.

The impressive Nordic cast is led by Carla Sehn and Kardo Razzazi, alongside actors Agnes Kittelsen, Linton Calmroth, Viktor Åkerblom, Philip Oros, Charlie Gustafsson, Frida Argento, Jon Øigarden, Olle Sarri, and Moa Gammel.

The Åre Murders is written by Karin Gidfors and Jimmy Lindgren, and directed by Joakim Eliasson and Alain Darborg.

The Home is a chilling psychological horror that delves deep into the themes of love, friendship, and the universal terror of losing oneself. It is based on Mats Strandberg’s 2017 novel of the same name, about a man who returns to his small town to care for his dementia-stricken mother, as she experiences terrifying visions of her late abusive husband.

The Home stars Philip Oros, Anki Lidén, Gizem Erdogan and Malin Levanon, is directed by Mattias J Skoglund and written by J Skoglund together with Mats Strandberg.

The anticipated horror feature has been selected for the Texas festival South by Southwest (SXSW), where it will have its world premiere in March.

Staffan Lindberg is director and writer of the coming Netflix feature film Love fårever which was filmed on Gotland this summer.

In Love fårever, Hanna and Samuel from Stockholm plan a low-key and intimate wedding on Gotland, but everything ends with chaos. Hanna runs away from the wedding and a fight breaks out. Out of this turmoil a new day is rising. A day that will be the start of a happier future.

Isabella Carbonell’s Dogborn is one of the official features at Göteborg Film Festival 2023, where it will also compete for the Dragon Award – ‘Best Nordic Film.’

The thriller Dogborn saw its world premiere at Venice International Film Critics’ Week, and it stars Philip Oros and Silvana Imam.
